Important Information
Baggage Allowance
- Checked baggage allowance (in kilograms) applies to both adult and child passengers.
- Baggage allowances may be combined only for passengers travelling under the same booking reference (PNR) and/or sharing the same surname.
- Cabin baggage is limited to one (1) piece per passenger, with a maximum weight of 7 kg.
- Infants (under 2 years of age and not occupying a seat) are entitled to a total baggage allowance of 10 kg, inclusive of both checked and cabin baggage.
- Valuables, cash, medications, and essential personal items should not be placed in checked baggage. Where cabin baggage exceeds the permitted allowance and is required to be checked, such items must be removed prior to acceptance.
- Zambia Airways accepts no liability for loss of or damage to valuables or personal items packed in checked baggage. Passengers remain responsible for personal belongings carried on board.
Check-in Time Limits
Domestic Flights
- Check-in closes strictly 30 minutes prior to scheduled departure.
- Passengers presenting after closure will be denied boarding and treated as No-Show passengers.
International Flights
- Check-in closes 60 minutes prior to scheduled departure.
- Passengers presenting after closure will be denied boarding and treated as No-Show passengers.
Boarding Gate
- Passengers are required to be present at the boarding gate at the time indicated on their boarding pass.
- Failure to report at the gate within the specified time may result in offloading and classification as a Gate No-Show.
Cancellation and Changes to Reservations
- Passengers may request changes to their travel date, subject to the applicable fare rules and availability.
- Cancellation and/or change penalties may apply depending on the ticket conditions.
Travel Documents and Identification
- Passengers must present valid photo identification (NRC, passport, or other government-issued ID) at check-in and boarding.
- Passengers under 18 years of age travelling to or from South Africa must carry all required supporting documentation in accordance with applicable regulations.
- It is the passenger’s responsibility to comply with all immigration, customs, and health requirements, including possession of valid passports, visas (where applicable), and vaccination certificates.
Name Corrections and Changes
- The name on the ticket must match exactly with the name on the passenger’s travel document.
- Minor name corrections of up to three (3) characters may be permitted, subject to a fee of USD 50. Changes to surnames are not permitted.
- Full name changes and ticket transfers to another individual are strictly prohibited.
Dangerous Goods
- The carriage of dangerous goods—including but not limited to flammable materials, gases, corrosives, toxic substances, infectious materials, explosives, and certain lithium battery-powered items—is prohibited in checked baggage and strictly regulated in cabin baggage in accordance with ICAO and IATA regulations.
- Firearms and ammunition may only be transported under strictly controlled conditions and with prior approval from Zambia Airways. Passengers are advised to consult the airline’s policies in advance.
Passengers travelling on this e-ticket are deemed to have accepted Zambia Airways’ Conditions of Carriage, including all regulations governing the transport of restricted and prohibited items.
